Rutledge Lake Travel Park is set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, in Fletcher, off I-26 between Asheville and Henderson and their attractions and activities. Ours is a complete campground with all the amenities and facilities to make for an unforgettable camping experience. Reservations for your campsite can be made online to secure your space.
Since we are only a stone's throw from Rutledge Lake, you can count on lots of water sports, activity and fun. Fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating are popular pastimes and our kids' fun beach features a shallow water area, so there is safety for them and fun for all. Throughout the year we plan live entertainment for our guests, such as gospel concerts, hot dog suppers and ice cream socials. Our convenience store may come in handy for the odds and ends you forgot to bring.

Mountain Camping

Wanted to get away to the mountains and this was the place...This campground had full hookups, fishing lake, pool, playground for children, paddle boats & many more activites...Also our pet loved the campsite...this campground was close to all the surrounding areas we wanted to visit (Biltmore House, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, etc)...also those wanting to play golf, less than 2 miles to golf course...Wal-Mart and other shopping centers, less than a couple of miles away, also plenty of eating establishments around the area...overall, we really loved this area and plan on coming back in the near future...

nice but!!

Our first experience with this small park was mixed but we are going back again soon. The reservations process was cumbersome and uncertain. The staff come across as cavalier at first and do not appear well organized at check in. The park is small, heavily wooded with few concrete pads but the sites are fairly level. Many permanent ( or semi permanent) residents and some had run down trailers. The pool is small but clean and the bathhouse was nice and air conditioned. The laundry was large but busy with permanent residents, most of the time. A man made lake and large game room round out the amenities. Some tent campers occupied the area set aside for them.

we recently stay here for 5 days and enjoyed it very much. they advertise pull-thru spots but they only have 4 and seem to be booked all the time. however the back-in spot are large and fairly easy to get into. the bath house and pool are was very clean and well keeped. there is a nice lake and the campground has the feel off being out by itself you are only a few minutes to anything you could need. i would recommend this rv park to anyone and will be staying there again.

Great Stopover Spot
0 % of users found this review helpful
Arrived late (~9pm) and after dark. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. They went to our back-in site with us and, using flashlights, helped my guide our 5th Wheel into place successfully. The sites are not generally paved as the on-line picture might imply but they were level. The campground is situated in a woody area that offers lots of shade and has a nice, appealing on-site lake. We enjoyed the stopover and would return.
